H1N1 nasal spray vaccination clinics this week
Time is running out to build protective immunity from the H1N1 virus before Thanksgiving break. It takes about 10 to 14 days to develop protective immunity, so students, faculty and staff are urged to take a few minutes and get vaccinated now. Auburn University will be holding two additional H1N1 vaccination clinics this week at no cost to healthy students, employees and dependents between the ages of 10 and 49. Vaccine is in the form of nasal spray. Clinics will be held on Thursday, Nov. 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the concourse between Lowder Business Building and Shelby Center (in case of rain, Shelby Center courtyard); and on Thursday, Nov. 12, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the Haley Center concourse (in case of rain, Haley Center lobby). For more information on who can and cannot receive the nasal spray vaccine, please click on the FAQ link located on the Auburn University flu information page. Questions may also be directed to emergencymanagement@auburn.edu.
