Registration now open for November GUTS event

Getting Under The Surface, or GUTS, is a monthly community program sponsored by the College of Sciences and Mathematics, or COSAM, that is aimed at first- through eighth-grade students and their parents or grandparents. The next GUTS event will be held Nov. 17 from 6-8 p.m. The evening program begins with dessert followed by a one-and-a-half-hour science activity. Four age-appropriate courses will be offered: Tiggers for Tigers for first- through third-grade students; Edible Science for first- through third-grade students; The GUTS of DNA for fourth- through sixth-grade students; and Microscopic Wonders for fourth- through sixth-grade students. The registration fee for GUTS is $18, with discounts available for additional family members to participate. There are a limited number of spaces for each GUTS event, so early registration is encouraged. Download a registration form by logging on to this link.
