Ag’s Learning Community collecting supplies for local school

Ag_learning_commBudget cuts have affected all levels of education, including Lee County's public schools. As part of its community service effort, the College of Agriculture's Learning Community is providing desperately needed items for K-12 students and teachers in Beulah, Beauregard, Loachapoka and Smiths Station. Requested items range from paper products, markers and glue to first-aid supplies, hand sanitizers and children's clothing. Collection boxes will be set up in Comer Hall's foyer from Oct. 21-30. For a list of requested items or to find out how to contribute, go to the Learning Community Web site or call 844-4768.
