Community presentations to look at alternative energy opportunities
The Office of Sustainability will co-host a series of community talks to examine opportunities in the new energy economy. The talks will be held on Sunday afternoons, 3-4:30 p.m., in the City of Auburn meeting room and will run for six weeks that began on Oct. 4. The first talk, "Alternative Energy Opportunities," will be presented by David Newton, retired faculty member from the Harrison School of Pharmacy, and Matthew Williams, Office of Sustainability. Subsequent talks will be presented by Norbert Lechner, retired faculty member from the College of Architecture; David Bransby, Department of Agronomy and Soils; Andy Bell, Habitat for Humanity, and Todd White, Housing and Community Development, City of Auburn; James Buston, assistant city manager, City of Auburn; and Sushil Bhavnani, Department of Mechanical Engineering.
