Collegiate Learning Assessment test focuses on thinking and communication skills

oiraA random sample of new Auburn University freshmen recently received an e-mail from Director of Institutional Research and Assessment Drew Clark, inviting them to represent Auburn University in the Collegiate Learning Assessment, a test of thinking and communication skills. By completing this 90-minute online assessment, Auburn students can help the university identify needed improvements both inside and outside the classroom. Nearly 200 other colleges and universities are using this assessment, so this is also a chance to see how Auburn University stacks up against similar universities.

Students who take the CLA this month will receive a confidential report of their individual scores and will also earn a reimbursement of $75.

Students cannot volunteer to take the CLA, but if you received an invitation to participate, the Auburn University Office of Institutional Research and Assessment will be happy to answer your questions. Contact them at oira@auburn.edu or 844-4765.
