Panel discussion to address art, science and water
Can art move people to protect and restore our aquatic ecosystems? That question and many more will be addressed Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 5 p.m. in 005 Biggin Hall by College of Agriculture scientists Bill Deutsch, Alabama Water Watch director, and Eve Brantley, Department of Agronomy and Soils water specialist, when they join Georgia-based artist Xiaotian Wang and Alabama conservation photographer Beth Maynor Young for a panel discussion on how art and science can work together to benefit the environment. The discussion is open to the public and will be followed by a book signing and reception. This event is part of "Water: Three States," a four-month long art exhibit focusing on water issues and images. The panel discussion marks the closing day of Phase I of the exhibit. Phase II will open Oct. 12, and run through Nov. 10. "Water: Three States" is the inaugural exhibit for a new initiative called Art in Agriculture that is a collaboration between the Department of Art, located in the College of Liberal Arts, and the College of Agriculture. Hello! I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this website? I’m getting fed up of Wordpress because I’ve had issues with hackers and I’m looking at options for another platform. I would be fantastic if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
