Entomologist’s discovery highlighted in U.S. News and World Report
A story about a breakthrough study on fire ant venom by Henry Fadamiro, associate professor in the Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology, is generating serious interest in the media. An article highlighting Fadamiro's research on the use of fire ant venom alkaloids as attractants by parasitic phorid flies to help control fire ant infestations is featured in the Sept. 20 issue of U.S. News and World Report and in the Sept. 18 issue of Science News magazine. Fadamiro's professional journal article on this study is in press and will be published in Naturwissenschaften (German Nature).
