College of Liberal Arts Civic Engagement efforts highlighted at statewide conference
Several faculty, engaged scholars and staff from the College of Liberal Arts will serve as session leaders for the upcoming statewide conference "Lifetime of Learning: A Conference on Service-Learning, Civic Responsibility & Higher Education" to be held at Birmingham-Southern College on Sept. 25.
The conference, sponsored by the Alabama Poverty Project, Auburn University and Birmingham-Southern College, will feature keynote addresses from nationally recognized leaders in university public engagement, including Peter Levine of the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement.
