Deadline for Peace Studies Scholarship in Northern Ireland extended
Apply now to be the Auburn University recipient of an $8,500 scholarship as part of an innovative Peace Studies/Global Leadership Program at Queens University, Belfast, Northern Ireland. The program was developed by the provosts of the SEC.
This is a spring 2010 semester program abroad which will run from January through May 2010. Students from the University of Tennessee, Vanderbilt, University of Florida and University of Alabama have already been selected.
Candidates will join these students as they take courses in Irish culture, politics, peace studies and more at Queens University. Students will also work on a local service project with the citizens of Belfast. Last year's students were able to make a positive impact on the local community and take weekends off to see other parts of Europe.
