New GTA convocation to be held Thursday and Friday
The Biggio Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning is hosting convocation, formerly called orientation, for Auburn’s new graduate teaching assistants on Thursday and Friday, Aug.13 and 14, in the Student Center Ballroom. Convocation begins at 11 a.m., immediately after the Graduate School’s orientation for all new graduate students. The first day includes various speakers from across campus, brief information presentations and a luncheon during which Auburn history professor and Honors College Director James Hansen will present the keynote address. On Friday, there will be a continental breakfast, informational sessions and a resource fair.
