Museum presenting works by European naturalists
The Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art is currently presenting the works of prints by some of John James Audubon's precursors and contemporaries. These prints are the works of 18th and 19th century European naturalists which feature birds, sea creatures, snakes, insects and plants. Artists included in the exhibition are Eleazer Albins, Mark Catesby, George Edwards, Alexander Wilson and John Gould. The exhibition will continue through Oct. 31.
