Auburn University pageant director given statewide accolades
Michelle Murphy, director of the Miss Auburn University scholarship program, was recently named the 2009 Pageant Director of the Year for the Miss Alabama pageant. She received this honor on June 6 during the finals of the Miss Alabama pageant at Samford University. There are 47 preliminary pageants and corresponding directors for 2009, and the Director of the Year title is the top honor awarded by the Miss Alabama pageant organization each year. Murphy was recognized for her hard work and dedication to her students.
