Author of “The Brother Gardeners” to give talk at library

brothergardeners_coverAndrea Wulf, author of  "The Brother Gardeners: Botany, Empire & The Birth of an Obsession," will present a talk on Thursday, June 4, at 3 p.m. in the special collections and archives department of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library at Auburn University. “The Brother Gardeners” is about a small group of 18th century naturalists who made Britain a nation of gardeners and the epicenter of horticultural and botanical expertise. Wulf is co-author with Emma Gieben-Gamal, author of "This Other Eden: Seven Great Gardens and 300 Years of English History." Gieben-Gamal has written for several newspapers and is a regular contributor to BBC radio and television. A reception will follow the program, and copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.
