Kim Walls named Distinguished Graduate Faculty Lecturer for 2008-09
The Graduate School announces that Kim Walls has been named the Distinguished Graduate Faculty Lecturer for 2008-09. Selected by a panel of previous winners of the award, Walls is professor and program coordinator of music education in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching. Her research specialty is applications of technology in music learning. Walls designed and leads Auburn’s innovative graduate distance learning program for practicing music education professionals. Walls has chaired the committees of 71 music graduate students and served as graduate program officer for the Department of Curriculum and Teaching (one of Auburn’s largest graduate programs) from 2004-08. Walls’ expertise in music technology and music teacher education has been recognized by election to the offices of vice president of the Association of Technology in Music Instruction; chair of the Music Educators National Conference Music Teacher Education Special Research Interest Group; President of Alabama Music Educators Association Higher Education Division; appointment to the National Advisory Board of Technology Institute for Music Educators; and selection as recipient of the College of Education Emily and Gerald Leischuck Outstanding Graduate Faculty Teaching Award. Walls, the 35th recipient of this award, will give the Distinguished Graduate Faculty Lecture in fall 2009 and will be honored with a reception following the lecture.

Its like you read my mind! You appear to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with some pics to drive the message home a little bit, but other than that, this is excellent blog. A great read. I will certainly be back.
