Free workshop will offer basics of organic gardening

organic_vegetablesA free, half-day workshop where gardeners can learn the how-tos of growing vegetables the organic way is set for Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m.-noon at a farm south of Auburn in Macon County. The workshop is sponsored by the Auburn University Organic Production Research program and will be led by Jan Garrett, a Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology doctoral fellow who works with Auburn's organic research program. In the workshop, Garrett will cover how to make compost, enrich the soil, prepare beds for planting and control weeds. She also will offer advice on the best ways to set out plants and plant seeds, how to trellis plants and how to build an inexpensive greenhouse. The workshop is open to all interested, but participants are asked to register on or before April 25. To register, contact Garrett at garrecj@auburn.edu or 844-2124. Directions to the workshop site will be provided to those who register.

I not to mention my friends were found to be checking the great tips and hints found on the website and then all of a sudden developed an awful suspicion I never expressed respect to the web site owner for those strategies. Those women are actually absolutely excited to read through them and have now absolutely been having fun with them. Thanks for indeed being quite helpful as well as for using this kind of useful useful guides millions of individuals are really eager to be informed on. Our sincere regret for not expressing appreciation to you earlier.
