Veterinary college holding 32nd annual open house April 18

1117c_r3_c6The College of Veterinary Medicine will host its 32nd annual open house Saturday, April 18, from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at its campus on Wire Road. The free public event will feature college tours and scientific displays, a dog agility course, sheep-herding dogs, Teddy Bear surgery, a parade of breeds of dogs and horses, birds of prey from the Southeastern Raptor Center and many other attractions. High school and college students can talk with counselors about courses for a future career in veterinary medicine. Other family activities include a scavenger hunt during which children can explore exhibits around the college, as well as presentations by faculty and students on topics such as disaster preparedness, puppy and kitty basics and radiography.
