Do you have unmet transportation needs on or off campus? Show us the ways you move! All students are encouraged to participate in an online campus-wide parking and transportation survey. The survey will assess the transportation needs of students and gather information on their current transportation habits. Data generated from the survey is of great interest to Auburn University and will provide valuable information to the Office of Campus Planning throughout the implementation of the Campus Master Plan. The parking on campus DOES NOT meet the needs of the students in any way shape of form. Their is not enough parking for the number of students during the school week, even with people coming and going from campus.
Example, people who look at parking my say that X amount of people have classes at 8 am and the majority of these people will leave to make more room for X amount of influx of people for 9 am classes. The problem, people do not leave campus every hour and you have 15 min between classes, even if you have to wait for parking you are still late for class because none of the parking is convient to any buildings! Tiger transit is still impractical to people who do not live close to campus because their are not any secure parking lots to comute and keep you and your vehicle safe till you are able to return. All the trailor parks do not want you parking there unless you live there! All the ablove does not include when auburn host events and messes up parking to make room for important people, lol. I believe with the constant increase in tuition, and the need to renovate old buildings, etc, some one needs to consider when I say consider “make a budget for parking” this is an important issue not to be put aside. Because WE THE STUDENTS can’t use these facilities if we CAN’T GET THERE and may be their will be more students in class rooms if parking was more convient! I always though that school was about the bettering of the YOUTH “students” but all I see at Auburn is Football and how nice our building are! It just seams that “Upper mangament” realy does not care about regular old Joe!
