JCSM to participate in Smithsonian magazine’s Museum Day 2008
On Saturday, Sept. 27, the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art will participate in the fourth annual Museum Day, presented by Smithsonian magazine. Museum Day is a day when museums and cultural institutions nationwide open their doors free of charge to Smithsonian magazine readers and Smithsonian.com visitors. A celebration of culture, learning and the dissemination of knowledge, Smithsonian's Museum Day reflects the spirit of the magazine and emulates the free-admission policy of the Smithsonian Institution's Washington, D.C.-based properties. Attendees must present a Museum Day admission card from Smithsonian magazine to gain free entry for themselves and one guest to the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art on Sept. 27. This admission card is available in the September 2008 issue of Smithsonian magazine or free of charge by going to the Smithsonian.com Web site and downloading the Museum Day admission card. For more details and a list of participating locations or to download the admission card, please visit www.SmithsonianMag.com/museumday.
