Autumn Walks at the Forest Ecology Preserve
The Forest Ecology Preserve will host Autumn Walks every Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 8:30 a.m. These naturalist-led walks are geared toward enjoying the beauty of the Preserve and benefiting from an hour of exercise. There is no fee and no registration required. Walks will be canceled in the event of rain. Fall Discovery Hikes for children ages 6-12 will be held every Thursday afternoon from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Parents may drop off their children or join us for an hour of hiking and playing in the woods. Children can fish in the pond, hold the preserve snakes and turtles, collect insects or build a campfire. Research shows that unstructured play in nature is very beneficial. There is no fee and no registration required. Hikes will be canceled in the event of rain. The Forest Ecology Preserve is located on N. College Street.
