Students invited to participate in Welcome Week 2008

Auburn University's Welcome Week is Aug. 16-23 and is a way to welcome new and returning students to campus fall semester. Sponsored by the Office of the Dean of Students, Welcome Week provides students the opportunity to get to know each other and become comfortable with the routine of campus life. Welcome Week events are open to all AU students and include free food, entertainment and lots more. Be sure to check out the Welcome Week Web site for a full schedule of events, including an outdoor movie, pep rally, Back to the Act, Block Party, War Eagle T-shirt Exchange, The Ultimate Road Trip and much more. Participate in the Welcome Week scavenger hunt for a chance to win great prizes. Join us at the Welcome Back Block Party on Thursday, Aug. 21, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on the Cater Hall Lawn. This event features a free musical performance by Hightide Blues, inflatables and large amounts of free food provided by local restaurants and vendors. Come out to learn more about campus organizations and have a great time! Make sure to bring a signed waiver that can be found here if you would like to have fun on the inflatables. Sponsored by the University Program Council, Freshman Year Experience, Multicultural Affairs and the Student Alumni Association. Visit www.auburn.edu/welcomeweek or call 844-5292 for event information.
