Two-game football package available for students

A two-game football package will be available for those students who were not able to purchase a season or mini-season ticket. These tickets will go on sale at 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, through the student ticket Web site. The two-game package is $30 and includes admission to the Southern Miss game (Sept. 6) and the Tennessee-Martin game (Nov. 8), which is homecoming. To order, log-on to AU Access, click on the tigeri icon and follow the instructions for ordering student football tickets. You will need your username and password to order. Friday, Aug. 15 is the last day for students to cancel or purchase student tickets for 2008. After this date, refunds will not be issued.

Thanks for the information; I have a question.

Is this one of those ticket sales (like the first one for freshmen) where they tell you BE SURE YOU’RE ONLINE at 9 a.m., but there aren’t any tickets for people who were online at 9? They were all sold to people who logged on at 8:50 and 8:55.

Yes it was Rick. The same thing that happened for the other sale even though students were told over and over again not to log on until 9. First impression… cheat!

I know a friend of ours who is a starting freshman found a locked up website at 9:00 AM the day the tix went on sale for them, and when he finally got connected again at 9:03 AM, all the tix were gone. There has got to be a better way for incoming freshmen. They are the lifeblood of the University. To treat them this way is atrocious.
