AU Bass Sports Club places fifth in national championship tournament
Auburn University's Bass Sports Club finished fifth among 54 schools in the Under Armour College Bass National Championship near Little Rock, Ark. Only the five teams with the highest combined weights last Wednesday and Thursday on the 8,900-acre Lake Maumelle advanced to fish Friday on what was billed as a "mystery lake." It turned out to be two ponds that presented about 15 acres of water and a variety of options such as hydrilla, underwater structures and trees.
