Engineering students qualify for undergraduate research fellowships
Engineering students Samantha Bird, Chris Ward and Karen Kirk have qualified to receive Auburn University undergraduate research fellowships during the 2008-2009 academic year. They have been chosen for year-long fellowships, receiving a stipend, project funds and travel expenses. Bird, a junior from Prattville, Ala., and Ward, a sophomore from Montgomery, Ala., are studying polymer and fiber engineering while Kirk, a senior from Huntsville, Ala., is studying mechanical engineering. Bird will conduct research with faculty member Maria Auad to study shape memory polymers, and Ward will work with faculty member Ed Davis to study the controlled release of tetracycline from Hallorsite-POE fibers. With guidance from faculty member Malcolm Crocker, Kirk plans to create models that can predict the rocket engine noise during launch and the turbulent boundary layer flow noise during flight of the new NASA Orion/Ares manned space vehicle.

Unquestionably believe that which you stated. Your favorite reason seemed to be on the internet the simplest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed while people consider worries that they just don’t know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top as well as defined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
