Forest Preserve hosting storyteller Morrison
The Kreher Forest Ecology Preserve will host storyteller Renee Morrison of Calico Stories on Saturday, May 10, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Admission is $3; no registration is required. A “Telling Your Own Story” workshop will be held from 12:30-2 p.m. Admission is $10 (includes morning program); registration is required. Guests may bring a brown bag lunch to eat between the program and workshop. The preserve is located on North College Street (Hwy. 147) just north of the AU Fish ponds. She recently published her first book, “Calico Ghosts,” and is working on her second book, “Hairy, Scary and Sometimes Merry Fairy Tales of Alabama.” She is the assistant director of Jacksonville State University's Field Schools where she provides more than 250 programs each year for thousands of participants.
