Jay Sanders Film Festival set for April 8

The Jay Sanders Film Festival hosts the Movie Gallery Student Film Competition each year and provides high school and college film makers from around the world the opportunity to have their work professionally judged and viewed by an audience. This year's festival will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 7-9:30 p.m., in the theater auditorium of The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center. Guest judges will pick the best films during the festival and the winners will be awarded cash prizes, provided by an endowment to the university by Movie Gallery. The event is now in its 11th year. It is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. To learn more about the festival, go to
